To find Hummingbird go to Jacksonville and leave town on California , the main street, which is Hwy 238 going towards Grants Pass. Stay on Hwy 238 about 8 miles to Ruch, a little shopping crossroads, and turn left onto (Upper) Applegate Rd. going towards the Applegate Dam. Hummingbird is about 8 miles from Ruch. Little Applegate is on the left at one point, but stay on Applegate. About a mile past the Star Ranger Station look for the FOR SALE sign on the right with Hummingbird B&B on top. There is also a yellow diamond SLIDES sign, which is easier to see at night. Both are posted on the far side of our driveway. Go slightly left at the top of the drive and park anywhere on the gravel; there is a turnaround loop. The house/ B&B is on the left, studio on the right.
Coming South on the I-5 freeway you can get off at Grants Pass and drive straight through town, getting on Hwy 238 to Murphy. Follow Hwy. 238, past Murphy (be careful not to take Water Gap Rd. to Williams), Provolt and Applegate, all the way to Ruch, turn right onto Applegate Rd. and follow the directions above.
